Colorado Mountain Snow Senior Photo Fun – With Dogs!

When your mom is your senior photographer, you get a LOT of sessions, I think we are on senior session number, oh, five, by now. But one thing that doesn’t change just because I know you is that I work with you, my client to come up with ideas, location and styling to reflect you! This sweater *literally* says it all for this Colorado girl.

We both had the idea of a vintage ski sweater for this. Hilariously the 17 year old and I had two very different ideas on what that meant, but eventually the perfect one was found. Her favorite color, and just the right amount of graphics and color blocking to suit my tastes.

Last week we got the prettiest snow in Breckenridge, you know, the one with those big fat flakes. With the snow still gracefully falling, it was the perfect moment to head outside for a snow session.

First we had our usual furry brown helper. We tried to get him to cooperate for a few shots, but this butt shot is about as good as it got. His antics did result in some genuine laughter though.

With the dog engaged in some sniffing, and snow rolling, we got down to business. Midway through another friend joined in the fun. Also not very cooperative or wanting to pose pretty, but he did sit for a few pets.

I’m pretty excited for some more perfect snow days because we have a few more ideas up our warm, fuzzy sleeves!
