I’m behind (as usual) on my blogging, but this time it is because I’ve been sooo busy, not the usual reason (me = slacker) I have had a fantastic season of senior sessions so far. The class of 2020 has so far been such a group of thoughtful, funny, creative and unique thinkers who are seriously going to change this world. Some like math, some don’t, some play video games, some have blue hair, some spend their hard earned money on tickets to India to work in underserved schools, some are cleaning up our oceans. But all are going places.
We have had a hot summer here in Colorado, and sometimes that makes for a less than fun session. But not for this one. Jimmie is a varsity football and rugby player and wanted his senior pictures to represent him and the hard work and sweat he has put into becoming the student athlete he is today.
However, this is one stylish kid – make sure you check out his green plaid pants – so it wasn’t all just about football. We started off in the ever hopping RiNo district here in Denver where we took advantage of some of the amazing street art and urban spaces.
We then headed over to the high school athletic field where little sister met up with us for the second half of the session. Mom critiqued his hold on the ball, little sister commented on something else, and we all laughed at my horrible throwing skills, despite lots of games of catch, I just never mastered throwing a football it seems.
We have amazing light here in Denver, and you don’t even have to be in the mountains to catch it. Enjoy a few of our favorites here.
