Last weekend I had the honor spending time with a marvelously talented group of women. The Evoke Workshop was two full days of intense senior photography learning, honing and practice. We were in beautiful Sunriver and Bend, Oregon. An area which has fantastic outdoor natural areas as well as some urban living as well. Just like Denver, and I felt right at home.
A lot of my photography process is solitary, the editing, all the behind the scenes work (busywork!) and it is was really wonderful to spend two full days getting inspired with and by other photographer creatives. I came home to Colorado and jumped right into my week with late season senior session, it was great to go into a new work week with fresh ideas and energy.
Be prepared for some sharing overload. I met such a fun group of young women finishing up their high school years, and heading on to whatever comes next. Senior photography just isn’t what it used to be. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be doing this if it were.
I’m going to show off the beautiful Lauren here. Lauren, you are what some people call “an old soul” – that’s a compliment by the way. You brought a sense of calm and peace to the entire session, and I completely admire the way you took the younger girls under your wing. Keep on leading by example and shining from the inside out. And most importantly keep on rocking the “goddess on a rock” pose like a boss!
I was super sad to miss some fun activities going on here at home (Prom!) But I made every minute count. Soaking up the energy, ideas and inspiration.
I’m already booking for Class of 2020 seniors, so give me a shout for more info on securing your session now.
Cheers and enjoy!
